Gas Station Dance AI Generator

The gas station dance is a 15-second clip in three cuts: someone dances on a sunset forecourt, the camera swings into a walking selfie, and a third person climbs slowly out of a car. It comes from a 2024 road-trip video by Russian blogger Mikhail Litvin and his friends Ravshan and Adel, and it is usually posted with Akcent's "On and On". Upload one photo per shot and this template recasts all three with your faces, keeping the moves, cuts and music. Nothing to film, no prompt to write.

What is the gas station dance?

The trend started with a short video by Mikhail Litvin, a Russian blogger, and his friends Ravshan and Adel. According to the reposts that explain it, they shot it unplanned at a gas station at around 4 a.m. during a 2024 road trip. Its fixed shape made it easy to copy: Ravshan dances by the pumps, Litvin turns the phone into a selfie, and Adel steps out of the car last.

In 2026 the clip became an AI trend. Instead of filming, people put their own photos into the same three shots, and most AI versions move the scene from night lighting to a golden-hour sunset. The motion, camera turns and cut points come from the original video, which is why a reference-video template copies it far better than a text prompt.

In India the same trend is called the petrol pump dance; Hindi outlets covered a three-photo version in October 2026. It is not the Sunoco "dance for a discount" story from Halfmoon, New York, where customers danced to Whitney Houston for cheaper fuel: that was a news clip, not this template.

How to make a gas station dance video

  1. 01

    Add three photos

Photo order is shot order: photo 1 dances, photo 2 films the selfie, photo 3 steps out of the car. Use clear, front-facing photos of one person each.

  2. 02

    Pick a model and resolution

Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p is the default (49 credits). Seedance 2.0 Mini at 480p is the cheapest (11 credits); 2.0 Pro and 2.5 go up to 1080p.

  3. 03

    Generate and download

Most videos are ready in a few minutes. The original music is added back, and you download an MP4 sized for TikTok, Reels or Shorts. If a video fails, the credits return automatically.

Who plays which shot

The template always has three shots, but you don't need three people. The same photo can fill more than one slot.
You havePut photos in the slots like this
1 personThe same photo in all three slots: you dance, film the selfie and step out of the car.
2 people (a couple)Person A in slots 1 and 3, person B in slot 2. A dances and arrives by car, B films the selfie.
3 friendsOne photo each. Put the best dancer in slot 1 and whoever has a full-body photo in slot 3.
One group photoCrop each face into its own photo first. A photo with several people confuses the model about who goes where.

Questions

Is the gas station dance real or AI?

Both. The first video was filmed for real by Mikhail Litvin and his friends in 2024. The versions flooding TikTok and Reels in 2026 are mostly AI: people upload photos and a model re-stages the same three shots with their faces, usually at sunset.

What song is used in the gas station dance?

Reposts usually pair it with "On and On" by the Romanian group Akcent. Our template keeps the music of its reference clip, so the beat lines up with the cuts without editing.

Who started the gas station dance trend?

Russian blogger Mikhail Litvin, with friends Ravshan and Adel. Ravshan does the forecourt dance, Litvin the selfie and Adel the car exit; the AI trend copies those three roles.

Should I use a full-body photo or a selfie?

Use a full or half-body photo for shot 1 (the dance) and shot 3 (the car exit), and a clear face photo for shot 2 (the selfie). If you only have selfies, it still works, but the model has to invent your clothes below the shoulders.

Can I make it with ChatGPT or Gemini instead?

You can write a prompt with them, but a text prompt only describes the scene; it doesn't contain the actual moves, camera turns or cut timing. A template driven by the original clip reproduces those, which is why prompt-only results often look like a different dance.

What size should I post it at?

Keep the vertical 9:16 MP4 for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Choose 720p or 1080p if you plan to post, upload the file directly instead of a screen recording, and pick 16:9 only for a landscape post or a YouTube video.

Can I put a friend's or a celebrity's photo in it?

Use photos of yourself or of friends who agreed to it. Putting someone else's face in a video without permission, especially a public figure's, can break platform rules and personality rights, and it is against our terms.

Is this the Sunoco gas station dance for a discount?

No. That was a 2026 promotion at a Sunoco station in Halfmoon, New York, covered by national news. The AI gas station dance is the three-shot Litvin template described above.
